Blake Street got a new look Thursday.

Crews from Denver Public Works painted a purple stripe down the street in anticipation of Friday’s home opener for the Colorado Rockies.

The line extends from 19th to 22 streets. The paint, provided by the Rockies, is water-based and won’t be around long.

The home opener tradition dates to 1995, the city of Denver said in a news release. starts at 2:10 p.m. at Coors Field.
