closed out the 2012-2013 “Saturday Night Live” season by performing two new tracks, “Black Skinhead” and “New Slave.” The tracks are from his upcoming release . Dressed in leather, West’s performance included a menacing black and white video of dobermans and a lot of grunting and yelling.
Both new tracks have a strong militant feel about them. On “Black Skinhead,” West raps with a harsh vocal effect over a marching beat and scratchy industrial guitars.
We’ve already seen a some of “New Slave” from West’s building projection stunt on Friday. As reported, “New Slaves” was projected/debuted in 10 cities across the world. The new track achieves the strong spoken aspect in the same ilk of next level performer, Saul Williams. How many artists do you know that will name check Bobby Boucher and talk about political figures’ spouses’ dirty acts in the Hamptons?
