Denver radio personality Peter Boyles was involved in a “heated exchange” that apparently escalated to a physical encounter with a producer Thursday morning during the broadcast on . Representatives of 9News were at the radio station for Tom Tancredo’s announcement of his gubernatorial run in 2014 and first reported the incident.
“Employees observed red marks on producer Greg Hollenback’s neck within the minutes of the argument,” .
Greg Foster, vice president for programming, issued the following statement: “This is a personnel matter. Out of respect for our employees, we are not commenting at this time.”
Boyles will not be on the air Friday, Foster said.
Boyles told 9News that Jon Caldara will fill in for him on Friday.
