DENVER—Authorities are trying to determine if the driver involved in a crash that killed a pedestrian in east Denver was drunk at the time.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson tells The Denver Post ( ) the pedestrian, whose name and gender have not been released, was hit at about 12:30 a.m. Friday while crossing South Havana Street near East Exposition Avenue.
Investigators suspect the driver had been drinking before the crash, but Jackson says they haven’t determined if the suspect was drunk.
The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital.
