When bolts from a Taser failed to quiet a naked man who jumped from an apartment window and fought with security guards, Colorado Springs police loosed a dog on him.

The incident began at 9:50 p.m. Saturday when Brandon Evans, 21, jumped from a window in the Arbor Point Apartments at 2503 Hancock Expressway.

He fought with security guards who were at the scene, according to the police blotter.

“When officers arrived they observed the male running from the security guards, and they also observed the male jump through a window on the opposite side of the building. The male was ordered out of the apartment.”

When Evans refused to comply with orders, officers stunned him twice with a Taser. The Taser didn’t calm him down and one officer deployed Cole, a K-9 dog.

Evans was handcuffed but managed to kick one officer in the stomach, police said.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment of multiple injuries he received when he jumped through the windows and was attacked by the dog.

Police believe Evans was under the influence of an illegal drug.

He faces charges of second-degree assault on a police officer, first-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
