“Magic City,” the beautifully photographed Castro-era gangster family saga, returns for a second season on Starz on Friday. Ike Evans (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) battles to rid his Miramar Playa Hotel of the mob, led by Ben “The Butcher” Diamond (Danny Huston). Ike travels from Miami to Havana’s glamorous casinos to an encounter with Ben’s boss in the Chicago Outfit. Meanwhile his sons Stevie (Steve Strait) and Danny (Christian Cooke) orbit the power of Ben’s dark world and the moral righteousness of State’s Attorney Jack Klein (Matt Ross), respectively. Guest stars this season include James Caan, Matt Ross and Esai Morales.
