TACtile Textile Arts Center
The center needs volunteers to serve as gallery hostesses. Responsibilities include opening and closing the gallery, greeting visitors, sales, registering students for classes and new member sign-ups. All hostesses will be trained. Modeling Summer Camp
July 22-26, registration deadline Saturday: Roxanne Gould of Roxanne Models hosts a camp for girls ages 13-18 interested in learning how to model, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each day. Hair and makeup, health, exercise, diet, how to walk the runway and move for the camera are among the topics covered. A photo session and fashion show wrap up the camp. Colorado State University’s Gustafson Gallery
Through Aug. 15: “Fall-to-Flight: The Journey of a Recycled Military Parachute” continues. Students in the Department of Design and Merchandising created clothes from recycled military parachutes donated by Aspen Pointe, a nonprofit that specializes in veteran rehabilitation through social innovation.
