SOUTH FORK, Colo.—Colorado transportation officials say U.S. 160 over Wolf Creek Pass will reopen at 6 a.m. Saturday.

It had closed June 20 due to the wildfires in southwest Colorado.

The decision to reopen the pass came after evacuees were allowed back to the town of South Fork on Friday, a week after residents and visitors were forced to leave because of the wildfires. The three fires that make up the West Fork fire complex have burned on about 140 square miles.

Colorado 149 between South Fork and Creede remains closed.
