Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew toured the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden on Monday and lauded its public-private partnerships in energy development.
NREL “sets the standard for collaborative partnerships between the public and private sectors,” Lew said in a statement. “We are committed to securing a clean energy future and investments in innovative institutions like the NREL will help to make this possible.”
On Monday morning, Lew also met with Denver-area businesses to hear their views on the economy.
