, the kings of ’90s alt-rock, have returned with a distinctly non-alt-rock sound.

The band has announced their 10th studio album, “Lighting Bolt,” which will drop on Oct. 15. But if the single they released along with the announcement is any indication, Vedder and co are going for something a touch harder than the Pearl Jam that rocked the stadium tours of the ’90s. You’d expect a band to mellow with age, but “Mind Your Manners” is almost punk, with blistering drums and a guitar part reminiscent of Motorhead’s “.” Listen for yourself below.

The band also announced a North American tour in support of the album around its October due date. Sadly, there’s no Colorado date, but there’s always Oklahoma City, right?
