LARAMIE, Wyo.—One of the top Class 3A basketball players in Colorado has verbally committed to play for the Wyoming Cowgirls.
Bailee Cotton is UW’s first verbal commitment for the 2014-15 class.
The 6-foot-2 Cotton starred for Denver School of Science and Technology last season as a junior.
Cotton was the top scorer and rebounder in the Class 3A girls basketball ranks last season, averaging 19.9 points and 11.4 rebounds while leading her team to a 24-3 record and the Class 3A semifinals.
She also had offers from Wichita State and Northern Arizona.
Cotton tells the Laramie Boomerang ( ) that she was sold on Wyoming after visiting Laramie and talking to the coaches.
