COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say a teenager is recovering after falling about 50 feet down a waterfall near Colorado Springs.

Sunny Smaldino, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Springs Fire Department, tells The Gazette ( ) the 18-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was hiking in Cheyenne Canyon on Friday when he fell down Silver Cascade Falls.

Smaldino says she does not know the extent of the man’s injuries.
