Who parties harder than Denver? According to Rolling Stone, no one.
As a part of their “Venues That Rock” series, the magazine rated Denver’s as , praising its massive dance floor, formidable sound system and (crucially) liquid-nitrogen fog machine. RS gave Beta the edge over Miami’s Liv (2) and Brooklyn’s Output (3), which has predictably incited a hissy fit in the article’s comment section among their clubs’ faithful.
Beta isn’t the first Denver venue to grab an alpha ranking in Rolling Stone. Red Rocks pulled down the top spot in the magazine’s —no shock there. In a list of the best rock clubs in the U.S., Colorado venues counted as three of the top 20, with overall.
So what does it all mean? Does Rolling Stone have a thing for Colorado? Or are we just finally getting the musical recognition we deserve?
One things for sure: With this kind of press, Beta’s going to need a lot more liquid nitrogen.
