Stepping Out to Cure Sclerodoma 3K/5K Walk

Venus de Miles
Sept. 29: The sixth annual all-women’s non-competitive road bike ride in Boulder County, the start and finish is in Longmont. Riders choose from three courses including a 28-, 65- or 100-mile century ride. A celebration follows at Longmont’s Prospect Park with refreshments, live music and vendors. $129, $99 by Sept. 22. The ride is a benefit for Greenhouse Scholars, a nonprofit that supports high-performing and under-resourced students in Colorado and Illinois. A Walk to Remember

Weigh and Win
South Suburban’s Buck Recreation Center is offering an ongoing free program that pays individuals (age 18 and over) to achieve a healthy weight through a partnership with the City of Littleton and Kaiser Permanente. Those already at their ideal weight will be awarded with incentives and rewards for maintaining it. Success is measured and tracked through quarterly weigh-ins at a kiosk located inside Buck Recreation Center. Participants also have access to online coaching tools.
