CASPER, Wyo.—The Mountain West Conference has suspended a Wyoming linebacker for one game for targeting another player in UW’s 56-to-23 victory over Air Force on Saturday.

The conference on Monday announced that Wyoming linebacker Nehemie Kankolongo is suspended for the upcoming game against Texas State for targeting Air Force’s Anthony LaCoste in Saturday’s game.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports ( ) that the conference explained in a statement that Kankolongo had tackled LaCoste using the crown of his helmet.
