
Hot tub antics lead to arrest. Lakewood police responded to a domestic violence report on the 1300 block of South Youngfield Court on Oct. 6, after a man came home to find his wife with two other females in the hot tub in an “intimate” setting. After a verbal argument, the man left, but came back a short time later for his ID and to take his children to his mother’s house. The woman threw a glass at her husband. She was taken into custody for domestic violence and criminal mischief.
Getting “Joosed” for a bus ride. Lakewood police issued an open container ticket Oct. 6 to two people waiting for an RTD bus at the corner of Sheridan Boulevard and West 10th Avenue. The two were sharing a 24-ounce container of Joose brand malt liquor. After receiving the citation and pouring out the contents of the can, the two were allowed to ride the bus.
Five-finger discount on home repair. Loss prevention officers at The Home Depot at 7200 W. Colfax Ave. reported they had observed a man steal more than $90 worth of merchandise Oct. 4. The man left the store without paying.
Drug paraphernalia found. Police responded to the 1400 block of Kendall Street on Oct. 9 after reports of two people using drugs. Police found a broken soda can blackened from a lighter, a syringe and the remnants of a cotton ball.
Begging at 7-Eleven. On Oct. 6, police were dispatched to a 7-Eleven at 820 Simms St. Multiple customers had complained about a man standing outside of the front door begging for money. The subject was arrested for outstanding warrants.
