
Semi accident. On Oct. 21, a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound near South Clarkson Street on U.S. 285 when it lost control and collided with 12 vehicles. Four people were injured, but not seriously. The Englewood police investigation is ongoing.
Five warrants. On Oct. 21, Englewood police officers contacted a suspicious vehicle in the area of West Bates Avenue and South Elati Street. It was discovered the driver had five active warrants out for her and was in possession of heroin. She was arrested and the passenger was released on a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stolen crown. On Sept. 29, a Littleton police officer responded to the 2600 block of West Belleview Avenue, where a car’s alarm was reported to be going off. The car was confirmed stolen out of Aurora.
Good intentions. On Sept. 29, a Littleton police officer was dispatched to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 6322 S. Lakeview St., where someone had entered the church and slept on the couch. A church official said they’ve given out many copies of the keys to the church to people in the community. There was no forced entry.
Cutting out. On Sept. 28, a Littleton police officer responded to Platte River Bar and Grill, 5995 S. Santa Fe Drive, where a man and a woman had left without paying their $50 bill.
Throwing rocks at the dog. On Sept. 24, a Littleton police officer responded to the 600 block of West Crestline Avenue, where a man was throwing rocks at a neighbor’s dogs to get them to stop barking. The dogs’ owner said his neighbor does this to cause them to bark.
