As Broomfield dedicates a large open space, two luxury homes that back to it can be ready for holiday move-in

In a year when people are reporting that their homes often sell well before they find a new place to move, Taylor Morrison Homes has been working to get ahead of the curve: getting luxurious homes on track to finish up this year, for people who are set to go. Today you can visit three of those in a Broomfield enclave that’s flanked on two sides by open space, and that offers a very workable commute whether you’re headed downtown, into Boulder, or out to DIA.

Silverleaf by Taylor Morrison already had plenty going for it before the City of Broomfield dedicated a large land tract on the neighborhood’s southern edge, over to permanent open space. By that time Taylor Morrison had already staked out two sites for 4-bedroom homes on Kestrel Drive that each would back to that expanse – land that will never be developed. Both homes are far enough along that a buyer could be settled in by Thanksgiving – one home ready now.

That home is a Cambridge plan: four bedrooms plus a main-level study, over 3,000 square feet finished, plus a basement and tandem 3-car garage, at $569,990. Just down the street you’ll see a Somerset, also with main-level study, 3,443 square feet finished, plus basement and a full-split 3-car garage, at $605,582. Both homes are showing a lavish trim: beech kitchen cabinets in one, knotty alder in the other, along with granite countertops and extensive hardwood flooring.

Don Rhine, who with Jennifer Taylor will show you Silverleaf just east of Sheridan Parkway north of W. 144th, says having homes ready to deliver is no easy trick this year: “Builders have been so slammed doing sold homes, and we’re one of the few that have a selection,” he said. “In spite of the great location, you’re not going to see a lot of competition nearby. And we’re still seeing visitors here who have already sold their older houses.”
Buy either of those homes or a few others at Silverleaf that can close by Dec. 31 and you’ll get a ‘Tis The Season’ special: closing costs to $8,000 (if you use Taylor Morrison’s lender), plus landscaping front-and-back, and stainless appliances with fridge, plus washer-dryer. Rhine says that buyers from Broomfield want to hold onto the schools here, including top-rated Legacy High. Silverleaf, he adds, has an intimate feel – only 71 homes, just a handful of sites left now, in an area with a community park that’s almost done.

To visit Silverleaf, take 144th west from I-25 three miles to Sheridan and turn north a mile to Silver Leaf Drive; or from Boulder take Dillon west past 287, three miles to Sheridan.

WHERE: Silverleaf by Taylor Morrison Homes, family-sized homes in neighborhood with a central park, walkout sites; ‘Tis The Season’ special on choice homes that close by year-end (free landscape, stainless appliances, closing costs to $8,000); some back to open space, choice schools.
