Wednesday. Classical dance tends to have an image problem when it comes to attracting young audiences, but there’s nothing stuffy or arcane about Moses Pendleton’s MOMIX. The Connecticut-based company of “dancer-illusionists” has appeared in numerous commercials, TV shows and movies over the last three decades by employing production tricks normally reserved for Hollywood. “Botanica” might just be its most colorful show yet. The piece invokes the changing of the seasons with a mix of lighting, props, sound and athletics, transforming its dancers into everything from marigolds to centaurs. 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Macky Auditorium on the CU-Boulder campus, 285 University Ave. in Boulder. $20-$47. 303-492-8008 or .
