A 29-year-old high school teacher in Colorado Springs has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on students.
Lee Edward Riddle, 29, a teacher at Widefield High School, 615 Widefield Drive, is suspected of sex assault of a child by a person in position of trust, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office began an investigation on Nov. 15 after receiving a tip about a sexual assault at the school.
Riddle is accused of “inappropriate contact with more than one student,” the sheriff’s office said in a media release.
Riddle was booked Wednesday and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
Anyone with information on the alleged crime, the suspect, or additional possible victims, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 719 390-5555.
