There was no twerking during Miley Cyrus’ performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, but the new 21-year-old did prove she has a sense of humor.
As the twerking queen sang her emotional hit “Wrecking Ball,” a large kitten sang along with her on a large backdrop screen behind her. The furry animal even shedded a few tears.
The comical scene, which ended the performance-filled night, was not as outrageous as some may have expected. She did not hit the red carpet in a shocking outfit and there were no antics like Lady Gaga riding in on a human-made horse. Instead, Cyrus opted for a chic white pant suit.
