COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police have not released any new information about a shooting Tuesday at Memorial Park Skateboard Park that left a 22-year-old man in critical condition.
Barbara Miller, police spokeswoman, said Wednesday the investigation was ongoing and could not release any details about the case.
The victim, reportedly shot in the stomach, was taken to Memorial Hospital to undergo surgery, police said. No updates on his condition were available, except that he was expected to live.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit swarmed the scene at Memorial Park about 4:15 p.m. near the corner of Union Boulevard and Pikes Peak Avenue and blocked access to the skate park with crime-scene tape for several hours.
