
Attempted bribe. Police responded to a car accident in the 9400 block of Pecos Street after a driver slammed his Cadillac into a light pole and skidded into a ditch on Dec. 1. The driver was intoxicated and tried to offer the officers money to just let him run away. He was arrested.
Illegal family activities. A loss prevention employee at Kohl’s on 12090 Colorado Blvd. saw a woman and her daughter slipping clothes into their purses as they were shopping on Nov. 30. They were stopped outside the store and given summonses.
Stakeout. Police followed a group of men who left the residence of a suspected drug dealer on Nov. 30. An officer pulled their car over near Holly Street and East 112th Avenue. The driver did not have a valid license, and two loaded guns were found in his possession. He was arrested.
Fragrant thieves. Police were called to Gordmans on 10001 Grant St. on Nov. 30 because two boys were caught taking cologne out of its packaging and hiding it in their pants. They were given summonses.
One thing leads to another. A man called police to his home in the 8900 block of Bruce Street on Nov. 28 because his roommate took his laptop. Police searched the roommate and found a glass pipe on him. He gave back the laptop and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bench snoozing. A patrolling officer noticed a man with a bottle of whiskey in his hand was slumped over on a bench in the 9100 block of Pecos Street. The man awoke when the officer approached. He was arrested for an open container.
