Pepper-sprayed in grocery store? Arvada police responded to King Soopers, 8031 Wadsworth Blvd., on Nov. 26 for a suspicious incident. A number of customers in the meat section began coughing and rubbing their eyes at the same time. The suspected cause? Pepper spray. Two juveniles in black hoodies were seen in the store, but the manager could not confirm they were the culprits.

Walking while drunk. Police were called to the 7500 block of West 80th Avenue on Nov. 25 for an intoxicated person impeding traffic. Witnesses said the man was walking northbound in the southbound lanes of Wadsworth Boulevard, trying to kick moving vehicles and flipping off drivers. He was issued a summons.

Paying it forward. A man was cited for panhandling Nov. 24 in the median at West 66th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. The man was visibly intoxicated and holding a sign that read “Pay it forward.” He also had a water bottle full of vodka in his pocket.

Broken windows. Police responded to the 6300 block of Fenton Street on Nov. 24 after a man reported damage to two of his vehicles. One had a shattered rear windshield, the other a damaged driver’s side window. There were other mischief incidents reported in the area.

Computer scammer. A scam was reported to police Nov 22. The victim said she received a call from “Microsoft” telling her she needed to clean her computer of viruses. They were on the phone for more than an hour while “Rachel” said she was remotely installing a virus cleaner. The victim balked, however, when “Rachel” asked for her credit card info.
