Getting your player ready...
Should you wait until after Super Bowl to explore the new communities that are arriving in Castle Rock over the past year? “Absolutely not,” says Carrie Castilian of Lennar Homes – which made its move into Castle Rock a decade ago, before the town became rated one of 20 “best places to live” in the U.S. “Spring 2014 is likely to be a brisk market in Castle Rock, and the time to look is when we’re a little ahead on building our most popular homes, and when our prices are below what they’ll be when more people come into the market.”
Lennar has two new neighborhoods to show you – both wrapped in the dramatic landscape that’s a signature of Castle Rock, and both sharing the ambience of its Old West downtown. High above Wilcox Street, where you’ll find classic taverns like the B&B and the Castle Café, firefighters were up on Castle Rock butte this week, changing the lights on the town’s landmark star from white to orange-and-blue. That’s all just two miles north of Lennar’s Crystal Valley Ranch, where the smallest home site is 10,000 square feet, and where residents have a trailhead into Quarry Mesa Park and its mountain bike track, right in the neighborhood. “There isn’t any other area with these views,” says Lennar’s Jeff Everhart – who’ll show you one of Pikes Peak from the deck of a ‘Wellington’ ranch, 2,737 square feet, plus a walkout basement and 3-car garage. It’s priced at $524,900, a pre-spring special – only if you look now and close by end of February. North of downtown, close to major shopping along Founders Parkway, Lennar has other specials beckoning at Terrain at Castle Rock, chosen as ‘Community of the Year’ for the entire Denver-Boulder area. You’ll see Lennar’s homes wrapped around a walk-to Douglas County elementary school – close to a new community pool, large park, and huge open space. You’ll tour two models including a ranch, before Lennar’s Mary Connelly shows you a ‘Silverleaf’ 4-bedroom-plus-loft plan, over 3,000 square feet, with walkout level and 3-car garage, priced right now at $424,900. Same deal; it has to close in February. You can find other homes at Terrain from $399,900 that’ll deliver soon: Take I-25 to Founders/Meadows Parkway, head east three miles to Rising Sun, then left Autumn Sage, and right to Desert Ridge Circle by the school. To see more quick deliveries at Crystal Valley Ranch, continue south on I-25 to Plum Creek Parkway; turn east to the first right on Wilcox, then south two miles to Crystal Valley Parkway, and east a mile. In either area you’ll see why Castle was listed by CNN Money Magazine as 17th ‘Best Place to Live’ in the entire U.S.; and by Family Circle as number-one ‘Best Town for Families.’ WHERE: Lennar at Terrain & at Crystal Valley Ranch; quick move-in on choice selection of family-sized homes in two Castle rock communities, one walking distance to school; one wrapped in trails; Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. 4012 Whitewing Ln; also 3767 EveningGlow Way, Castle Rock.
