
Woman calls to report harassment, ends up evicted. On Jan. 16, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 900 block of West Ontario Drive, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), after a woman reported a note on her door telling her to get out of the home. Deputies told the landlords, who left the note, that they had to go through a process to evict the woman. Police then told the woman that the note was rude, but did not constitute harassment and the landlords would begin the eviction process.
Customers draw hookah bar owner’s ire. On Jan. 16, deputies were called to 40 Thieves Hookah Bar, 5500 S. Simms St., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), after the owner of the bar said he got into an argument over two customers parking in a handicapped space. The driver said they just stopped to get the phone numbers of some girls with whom they were talking. The owner said he wanted the pair gone for the night, but they were welcome to return. No charges were filed.
License plate stolen off truck. A man called deputies on Jan. 15 after he noticed the front license plate was taken from his truck while at Sears, 8501 W. Bowles Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton).
Man reports disturbance, changes mind. On Jan. 19, deputies went the 11700 block of West Cooper Drive, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), but a man there who had called about a disturbance involving his girlfriend tried to wave them off, saying everything was fine. The woman had fled and police couldn’t reach her after obtaining her cellphone number.
