An early morning brawl at an Aurora nightclub resulted in several injuries and at least 4 arrests.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, Aurora Police and EMS personnel were called to Nuevo Club Adixion, 10801 E. Mississippi Avenue, Aurora after reports of a large fight breaking out among club patrons.

The ruckus began when people on the club’s second floor balcony began throwing bottles at others on the first floor of the club…and those on first floor threw them back, according to Aurora Police Watch Commander Lt. Chad Cerinich.

“The crowd at the club became unruly,” Cerinich said. “And it became a bottle-throwing melee.”

Cerinich said four off-duty Aurora police officers were working security at the club at the time. A citywide call for help was placed, and all available officers, along with ambulance crews, were sent to the club.

Eight people were injured, some of them security guards. No officers were injured. Cerinich said there was also one person hit by a car in the parking lot. That person was treated for minor injuries. He did not have information on the other injuries.

One person was arrested for second degree assault on a police officer, 3-4 others were arrested for “various reasons,” Cerinich said.
