With Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper facing his first re-election challenge this year, at least a half-dozen Republicans are vying for the GOP nomination.
The first debate in the Republican race, , will be held Tuesday. Gregy Brophy, Jason Clark, Steve House and Mike Kopp will participate. The two most prominent candidates, Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler and former Congressman Tom Tancredo, have to take part in any debates.
The party’s nominee will be chosen on June 24 in the GOP primary.
