
Deputy reports missing message sign. On Feb. 8, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy reported that an electronic variable message sign was missing near the intersection of South Oak Street and West Bowles Avenue, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton). He was later notified that the sign had been moved to the mountain precinct for an event.
Car keyed while driver in church. A man called deputies on Feb. 9 after his car was keyed in front of Light of World Catholic Church, 10306 W. Bowles Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton). The victim said he found two large scratches down both sides of the car, each more than 25 inches long.
Man kicks moving car. On Feb. 6, a woman called deputies after her car was kicked and dented by a man near West Coal Mine Avenue and South Pierce Street, Columbine (Littleton). The woman said she honked to alert a pedestrian on the street and the man, wearing a brown trenchcoat, kicked her car.
Mom calls cops on son. A woman called deputies Feb. 6 after her son started breaking items in his room in the 11100 block of San Juan Range Road, Ken-Caryl. The mother said her son was upset with her husband after he failed to pay him for a job he had helped with. The son said he would camp in Waterton Canyon.
Window smashed. An employee at Great Clips, 7456 S. Simms St., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), reported finding a front window smashed Feb. 4. Officers determined that the window had likely been kicked in as no objects were found. There was no video surveillance and there were no suspects.
