Families will be on track for a fun adventure back in time with this freebie. On March 1, the Colorado Railroad Museum (17155 W. 44th Ave. in Golden) offers free admission from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Rides cost extra at $4 for adults and $2 for children.) Built as a replica of an 1880s train depot, the museum houses thousands of rare photographs, artifacts and documents highlighting the colorful history of Colorado railroads. If you miss the station on this one, the next and final free day of the year is May 3.

Lift tickets can be pricey, so this deal is sure to be at the top of the menu for skiers. Limit of one offer per customer, while supplies last. The voucher expires April 20 and is only valid Monday through Friday, with blackout dates of March 23 to 30.
