GREELEY, Colo.—Static electricity is being blamed for a massive explosion and fire at an oil and gas drilling site north of Greeley that injured two workers.

The explosion Monday night shook houses and set a fire that could be seen for miles. Firefighters were able to put the fire out.

According to the Greeley Tribune ( ), two workers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
