The FBI and Thornton police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday.
Around 4:22 p.m., the Key Bank at 3505 E. 104th Ave. was robbed, according to a news release from the FBI.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, in his 30s, 5-feet 4-inches to 5-feet 6-inches tall, 165 pounds, with a goatee.
The suspect entered the bank, showed a demand note and fled, authorities said.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used.
