
1 Absent-minded victim. A woman reported that someone stole her son’s Social Security card after she accidentally left it inside a copy machine at the Department of Human Services at 14980 E Alameda Drive. She said she was updating her son’s information May 5 and realized it was missing.
2 Meat heist. Store security at the King Soopers at 1155 S. Havana St. saw a man concealing packages of meat in reusable shopping bags May 4. The suspect hopped into an SUV that was waiting for him and got away.
3 Stolen hospital breakfast. Police were called to the University of Colorado Hospital cafeteria at 12605 E. 16th Ave. after a homeless man didn’t pay for food that he ordered on May 4. Police found the suspect eating his eggs and sausage in an empty hospital room and gave him a ticket.
4 Glove box gun. A man accused employees of the Red Carpet Car Wash at 1090 S. Havana St. of stealing a gun that he kept in his glove box. The man left his car to get washed May 3 and said the gun was missing when he was ready to leave. Video surveillance didn’t show any of the employees take the gun.
5 Dirty clothes.The manager of the Family Dollar at 465 N. Havana St. called police after he apprehended a man stealing six bottles of laundry detergent from the store. The suspect gave the detergent back but ran away while the clerk had his hands full May 3.
6 Missing motorcycle. A man who lives in the 1070 block of South Zeno Way reported that someone stole his black Kawasaki motorcycle while it was parked in front of his home April 28.
