More than 70 Colorado bands will perform at this summer’s , the Fort Collins-based community and music festival, organizers announced.

The artists span a number of genres and audiences, from the lilting ukulele of Danielle Ate the Sandwich and experimental art-pop of Ian Cooke to the bluesy swagger of Calder’s Revolvers, the Tex-Mex/country of Chicano Heat, the dub reggae of Knocean and the kid-oriented music of Doctor Noize.

Music performances will run on six separate stages 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. Each evening, a national headliner will be featured at the Mountain Avenue Stage — although they won’t be announced until June 9.

the headliners included Leon Russell, Ben Harper and the Samples.

NewWestFest joins the June 21 and The Denver Post’s own , which takes place July 24-27, in showcasing hundreds of local acts alongside national headliners.
