1 Hot dog. Police received a tip about a dog that was locked in a car in the 9100 block of Tejon Street, Federal Heights May 25. The officer cited the owner.

2 Unsafe storage. A woman called police to Cube Storage at 8444 Pecos St., Federal Heights because someone cut the lock on her storage unit. The woman said she was missing a shotgun, a TV, a tool cart and various tools May 23.

3 Video proof.Loss prevention at the Kmart at 1400 E. 104th Ave., Thornton called police after they apprehended two men who tried to steal a pair of work gloves May 19. Both suspects denied stealing but relented when shown security footage of their crime.

4 Driving on the median. A patrolling officer stopped a swerving driver near the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and 104th Avenue, Thornton after the driver’s tires struck the median several times. The suspect’s license had been suspended for driving drunk already, so the officer arrested him May 19.

5 Big mouth. Residents in the 3300 block of East 120th Avenue, Thornton called police about a suspicious car that had been idling in the neighborhood for more than an hour May 19. Police warned a woman and man inside the car to move on. The man started cussing at police and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

6 Taunting teenagers. Federal Heights firefighters driving in the 10300 block of Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights called police because three boys in a car in front of them were leaning out of their windows, cussing at the firemen May 17. Police located the car and cited the teens for disorderly conduct.
