
1 Man assaults roommate over lost dog. A man called Denver police on June 1 after he was assaulted by his former roommate. The victim said he was in the process of moving out of their place in the 1200 block of Zuni Street when the suspect’s dog escaped. When the suspect found out, he became angry and began hitting the victim and chased him around the yard.
2 Man robs wings restaurant with finger. The owner of Buffalo Bill’s Wings and Things, 8208 E. Colfax Ave., called Denver police on May 31 after a man took a bottle of soda without paying. The victim said when it was time to pay, the suspect put his finger in his shirt to simulate a gun. The victim grabbed a chemical agent to spray at the suspect and the suspect fled. The owner chased him.
3 Side mirror smashed with shovel. On June 2, a woman called Denver police after her car’s side mirror was smashed in the 3100 block of West 16th Avenue. Investigation revealed that the mirror was smashed with a shovel by a suspect in the building.
4 Rock Bottom customer tries to skip out on bill. Denver police responded to an incident on June 1 at Rock Bottom Brewery, 1001 16th St. Police learned that a suspect had purchased $56 worth of food, which he received and ate, but then said he had no money to pay for it.
5 Robber breaks in through roof. On June 2, Denver police were called to the Ginn Mill, 2041 Larimer St., in response to a robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect entered through the roof and pried a door open. He cut open a safe to take the contents.
