Arvada police are on the hunt for a suspect who robbed a BBVA Compass Bank at gunpoint Tuesday.
The suspect, described as a person of unknown gender with light colored skin and standing between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, robbed the Compass Bank at 8008 Yarrow Street.
After obtaining the money, the robber was seen leaving the parking lot of a nearby King Soopers. The suspect traveled south on Wadsworth Boulevard in a tan or gray metallic colored SUV with no rear license plate.
The suspect was wearing a black, baggy long-sleeved hooded shirt or coat with a white ring around the neck, black pants, black shoes, large black and brown sunglasses and a purple scarf covering the face.
The robber, who appeared to be wearing a white glove on the left hand while holding the gun in the non-gloved right hand, brought in a black bag to collect the money.
The gun, a black semiautomatic style handgun with white lettering on the slide of the weapon, had a barrel with a round tip similar to a simulated pellet or BB-style handgun.
