Broomfield guard Callie Kaiser verbally committed to play basketball at Colorado State last Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10 senior-to-be averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.4 steals for the Eagles last season. She was a after leading Broomfield to the state championship game.

“One of the biggest things was being able to be playing to play for my in-state school,” Kaiser said. “That was important for me.”

Kaiser, 17, said her top five choices were CSU, Northern Colorado, San Diego, St. Mary’s and Wyoming. She added that she is considering majoring in elementary education.
