Denver Broncos DeMarcus Ware (94) remains sidelined with a bruised right lower leg. (John Leyba, The Denver Post)
The last time DeMarcus Ware walked into Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday, he walked off with a limp. With rain drizzling on Wednesday, there was no chance that Ware was going to practice, given the cautious approach to his bruised right lower leg.
The field tarp was on until an hour before the practice and once cleared, heaters were used to dry the turf. There was some discussion of not practicing.
With temperature at 59 degrees, Peyton Manning practiced with gloves on.
Other players joining Ware on the sideline: former CSU-Pueblo star linebacker Chase Vaughn (right knee irritation), safety John Boyett (back), ex-CSU star Shaquil Barrett (injury not known at this posting) and defensive end Greg Latta (knee).
Demaryius Thomas and Chris Harris are attending practice, but limited in the scope of what they can do because of CBA rules.
