1 Man kicks moving car. On July 20, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident near the intersection of West Chatfield Avenue and South Pierce Street, Columbine (Littleton). The suspect said he felt one car was targeting him as he tried to cross the road, so he kicked it when it slowed down. When the driver came around to talk to him, he kicked the other side. The driver parked, so the suspect grabbed a rock and starting walking toward the car, causing the driver to speed off. The suspect had been drinking and was cited.

2 Tires slashed. A man called deputies on July 20 after he found two of his tires slashed in the 4900 block of South Xenon Street in the Littleton area. He had previously reported the rear window on his son’s car had been damaged, apparently by a BB gun.

3 Road rage culminates at intersection. On July 15, deputies went to the intersection of West Coal Mine Avenue and South Van Gordon Way in the Littleton area after a woman called 911 to report seeing two cars stop in the intersection. Both drivers in the incident said they got out of their cars, but had different accounts of how things started.

4 Odd sales pitch. On July 17, a man called deputies to report a suspicious call he received at his home in the 9700 block of South Johnson Way in the Littleton area. The man said the caller identified himself as a member of al-Qaeda and was looking for recruits to terrorize the United States. When questioned, the caller said it was joke and that he was actually calling about a mortgage rate.
