Five years after it went missing from an unlucky finger, a wedding ring found under a chairlift in Vail has been reunited with its owner, the resort announced Wednesday.

The ring was found last week under the Sourdough Express Lift — also known as Lift 14 — with the inscription “All my love, Sue.”

The ring belongs to a man identified only as “David,” the resort said, and was lost in 2009.

Vail’s original tweet about the ring mentioned only the inscription with Sue’s name, 7News reported. It had another inscription — which was not reported by the resort — to help correctly identify the owner.

“The date of my wedding is inscribed inside — June 20, 1982,” Brenner told the television station.
