1 Heritage Square is fight destination. Golden Police responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of Heritage Square, 18301 W. Colfax Ave. on Aug. 8. A married couple there said they came to the lot often to argue so as to not disturb their neighbors at Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden. Officers found no crime but confiscated the woman’s firearm until she had time to calm down and asked the couple to not return to the parking lot.
2 Silly situation. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home in the 17000 block of Silvercreek Lane, Evergreen, on Aug. 14 for possible domestic violence. A couple said they were arguing when the woman made a comment about a comedy show they were watching that escalated the situation to physical contact. No injuries were found and the woman apologized, calling it “silly.”
3 Texts lead to arrest. A man was arrested Aug. 14 in the 24000 block of Inca Road, Indian Hills, for sending threatening text messages to his brother and another man demanding the two leave the residence where they were staying rent-free. They included “All of you out, all of you out! Etc. etc. etc.!” and “It has become impossible to deal with. I am going to KILL tonight!”
4 Woman plays Frogger. On Aug. 9, Golden Police stopped a vehicle pulled over at U.S. 6 and Colfax Avenue. It was found a couple pulled over during a fight. The woman, in a field on the other side of the highway, “decided it was a good idea to play Frogger” to cross back over the highway to police. The man strongly denied a wet stain on his clothes was urine. No charges were filed.
