Re: “Actor, director Richard Attenborough dies at 90,” Aug. 25 obituary.
The life of Sir Richard Attenborough was filled with hard work, creativity and talent as an actor, producer and citizen of world. Attenborough represented the very highest and excelled qualities of a gentle, soft-spoken, purposeful and contributing member of all human endeavors. His talents were exceedingly evident in all his work for many, many years.
The movie “Gandhi” was one of Attenborough’s most favored and known works, and was about one of the most admired personages in all of history. Gandhi said that “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” Attenborough sought to open the world’s eye through his work.
Rest well, Sir Richard, for a life well-lived.
