Re: “Edna Mosley, Aurora’s first African-American city council member, dies,” Aug. 28 obituary.
Though I was saddened to read of Edna Mosley’s passing, it reminded me of the legacy her family represents and bequeaths to our American future. Her husband, John Mosley, is an original Tuskegee Airman who broke through artificial boundaries to athletic and flight excellence, making history alongside Edna. Eric Mosley, their retired U.S. Air Force and United Airlines pilot son, continues the legacy through the Mile High Flight Program.
The Mosley family heritage of achievement and excellence is a standard for everyone. In a world short of role models, this family is the real deal.
