As many know, I have the good fortune of having a vast collection of old Avalanche games on VHS tape. Hundreds and hundreds of games spanning the years. Some have been converted into DVDs, and more will in the future.

I was watching some of Game 3 of the 1996 Cup Finals on DVD tonight, and thought I’d pass along the player introductions of each team before that June 8, 1996 game at Miami Arena. I was there, and I can tell you the building was hot inside. Not warm, hot. This was the game in which, after Florida scored its second goal of the night in what turned out to be a 3-2 Avs win, Patrick Roy allegedly told his team “No more rats”, and there were no more the rest of the series (look it up, kids, about the rats).
