The intersection of 1st Avenue and University Boulevard in Cherry Creek reopened about 7 a.m. on Tuesday following a closure for construction work.
“Morning commuters will find a new concrete surface in the intersection that is expected to last for 30 years,” Denver Public Works said in a news release.
The intersection was first closed Saturday night.
The closure was part of the that officials say is three weeks ahead of schedule.
The project is slated for completion by Nov. 1.
