The FBI is searching a home in Northglenn on Friday as part of what fire officials called a drug investigation.

A search warrant is being served near the intersection of 118th Avenue and Grant Street, said Dave Joly, an FBI spokesman.

Police in Northglenn are assisting with the search and declined to speak about the warrant, saying it relates to a federal case.

North Metro Fire Rescue said about noon that their hazardous materials team was “providing assistance with a drug investigating” that was part of the FBI activity, according to a spokeswoman.

Joly declined to elaborate further on the search saying “a lot of factors are still in play.”
