Getting your player ready...

Of course Peyton Manning spent his week off watching football.

The Broncos’ quarterback was on the sideline at Sanford Stadium to watch his alma mater Tennessee take on Georgia. Manning spoke to the players before the game, and even spent some quiet alone time to reflect, before watching the game.

Tennessee jumped to an early 10-7 lead, but the No. 12 Bulldogs, led by junior running back Todd Gurley, took over and held on for a 35-32 win.

Georgia’s victory was its fifth straight against Tennessee, evening their series at 21-21-2. Tennessee won every year Manning was quarterback, from 1994 to 1997. And almost exactly 20 years ago, Manning was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 31 of 41 passes for 371 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia.

But more importantly: You see Manning’s sweet shades?
