Another day, another poll. The right-leaning Rasmussen Poll out Thursday gives incumbent Gov. John Hickenlooper a 4-point lead over Republican opponent Bob Beauprez with less than five weeks before Election Day.

The poll has Hickenlooper at 50 percent with Beauprez at 46 in the statewide survey of 950 likely voters conducted last week. Two percent preferred some other candidate, while 3 percent are undecided. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percentage points.

In a poll released on Sept. 8, 45 percent to 44 percent.

The same poll showed Republican U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner over incumbent Democrat Mark Udall in the U.S. Senate race. Gardner has 49 percent to Udall’s 47 in a poll with the same margin of error. Pollsters called the race a “dead heat.”

Two percent pref liked some other Senate candidate and 3 percent was undecided.
