The odds of Oregon State’s top receiving threat, sophomore Victor Bolden (5-foot-9, 175 pounds), being able to play Saturday at Colorado (2 p.m., Pac-12 Network) may not be good.

Bolden missed last weekend’s loss at Southern California with a dislocated pinky finger and is scheduled to get the sutures removed Thursday.

Oregon State coach Mike Riley, speaking Tuesday on the Pac-12 coaches teleconference, was not ready to rule out Bolden for the Colorado game, however.

“Victor is doing better,” Riley said. “I’m encouraged. I still don’t know what that means for this game. But he will be back for sure for the next game we play (Oct. 16 vs. Utah). I still give him an outside chance in this game.”

Without Bolden, Oregon State receivers accounted for just 18 total yards in the second half of the 35-10 loss to USC.
